Mindful Noise

I can't see you most of the time But I see you in my mind all of the time I hate how you always stay on my mind Do I take up any space in your mind? Awake and asleep Enjoying the chasm Things that I dream of  Nobody needs to know of Certain and confused Question the feelings Words that are unclear Gets clearer when you're near Confident and fearful Precious moments that cause pain Swaying between should and want Past mistakes that haunt But I'll knock myself out There's always doubt Fool me once then fool me twice Won't know until we throw the dice -August 18, 2022

  Innocent flesh inhales the city, and exhales chaos into the nerves. The heart, awoken by chaos, beats nausea into the throat. Eyes closed but white light streaks into the retina. Kill off stimuli but blinding images still flicker. The sound of a vessel pounds pain into the mind. Taken over by invisible demons, I fight them through this sleepless night. It's always hard to believe in something that you can't see, but love is one of those things that plays with its own invisibility,  it will confuse you, make you fall in love, make you hate each other, hurt each other, make you rejoice, just to prove that it really exists.   While we're still young,  when we don't have the money, power, nor experience, our best bet is to go by our strongest feeling.  The truest one. And if you get hurt,  that's okay.
